TERMS & CONDITIONS

DNA Kitchen & Events

Effective Date: January 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of services provided by DNA Kitchen & Events (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), located in Ajax, Ontario, Canada, including event space rental, catering services, and related offerings. By booking or using our services, you (“Client,” “you”) agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Services

DNA Kitchen & Events provides:

Event space rental

Catering and food services

Event coordination and related services

All services are subject to availability and confirmation.

2. Booking & Deposits

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the event date.

Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit and a signed agreement are received.

The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days prior to the event date.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

All deposits are non-refundable.

Cancellations within 7 days of the event date will result in forfeiture of the full event balance.

No refunds will be issued for no-shows or early termination of the event.

4. Event Time, Rates & Overtime

Event start and end times must be strictly followed.

Event space rental is billed at a typical rate of $150 CAD per hour unless otherwise stated in the agreement.

Overtime is subject to availability and will be charged at the same hourly rate, payable immediately.

Setup and teardown time is included only if specified in the agreement.

5. Catering Policies

A final guaranteed guest count is required 5 days prior to the event.

Final guest counts are considered guaranteed and will be used for billing purposes.

Outside food or beverages are not permitted unless approved in writing.

Menu changes after the deadline may result in additional charges.

6. Alcohol Policy

Alcohol service must comply with AGCO regulations and all applicable Ontario laws.

DNA Kitchen & Events reserves the right to refuse alcohol service to any guest.

The Client assumes full responsibility for guest conduct related to alcohol consumption.

7. Client Responsibilities

The Client agrees to:

Ensure all guests and vendors behave respectfully and lawfully

Be financially responsible for any damage caused by guests, vendors, or attendees

Follow all venue rules, occupancy limits, and municipal noise bylaws

8. Damage & Cleaning Fees

The Client is responsible for any damage to the venue, furnishings, equipment, or property.

Additional cleaning or repair costs will be charged to the Client.

Decorations must not damage the venue (no nails, screws, glitter, confetti, or open flames unless approved).

9. Liability & Indemnification

DNA Kitchen & Events is not liable for:

Personal injury, illness, or loss or damage to personal belongings

Acts or omissions of guests, vendors, or third parties

Events beyond our reasonable control, including weather, power outages, or government restrictions

The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless DNA Kitchen & Events from any claims arising from the event.

10. Force Majeure

DNA Kitchen & Events shall not be held responsible for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, labour disputes, government orders, or emergencies.

11. Photography & Media

DNA Kitchen & Events may use photographs or video recordings of events for promotional purposes unless the Client provides written notice prior to the event opting out.

12. Right to Refuse Service

DNA Kitchen & Events reserves the right to refuse or terminate services for:

Illegal, unsafe, or disruptive activities

Violation of these Terms & Conditions

Abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour

No refunds will be issued in such cases.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein.

14. Acceptance of Terms

By booking services with DNA Kitchen & Events, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
